Smart Dissolved Oxygen Sensor MT-185 Series | Digital DO Electrode
Digital dissolved oxygen sensors covering 0-20 mg/L with ±2% FS accuracy, built-in temperature compensation and 0-4 bar pressure rating. RS485 Modbus RTU and 4-20mA dual output, IP68, low maintenance.
Description
Product Overview
Dissolved oxygen (DO) is the amount of molecular oxygen from air dissolved in water. The dissolved oxygen content of water is closely related to the partial pressure of oxygen in the air and to water temperature, which makes DO one of the most informative indicators of water body health.
The MT-185 series smart dissolved oxygen sensor delivers stable measurement with built-in temperature compensation and strong resistance to interference from wastewater. Standard threaded bodies suit a wide range of mounting structures. Both RS485 and 4–20 mA outputs are provided, keeping integration simple while maintenance cost stays low.
Key Features
- Wide measurement range: 0–20 mg/L (ppm) with ±2% FS accuracy.
- Built-in temperature compensation: Automatic compensation over 0.00–40 °C with 0.1 °C resolution.
- Pressure rated: Operates from 0 to 4 bar.
- Interference resistant: Stable measurement even in wastewater with fouling and chemical load.
- Dual output: 4–20 mA (adjustable, 3-wire) plus RS485 Modbus RTU.
- Standard threaded connection: NPT 3/4 or M39 × 1.5 process thread options.
- Low maintenance: Designed for long intervals between service visits.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does “dissolved oxygen” actually measure?
Dissolved oxygen is the amount of molecular oxygen from the air that is dissolved in water. Its concentration is closely linked to the partial pressure of oxygen in air and to water temperature, and it is a primary indicator of aquatic ecosystem health.
Which mounting thread does the sensor use?
Depending on the model, the process connection is NPT 3/4 or M39 × 1.5, both common standard threads that fit flow cells, immersion brackets and pipe fittings.
Is the sensor suitable for wastewater?
Yes. The series is designed for stable measurement with resistance to wastewater interference, and includes automatic temperature compensation.
What is the advantage of the fluorescence (optical) version?
The luminescent DO variant measures oxygen optically without consuming electrolyte, which reduces maintenance and performs well in low-flow or low-fouling applications.
What signals are available for integration?
Both an RS485 Modbus RTU digital interface and a 4–20 mA (adjustable, 3-wire) analogue output are provided.
