Ultra-Low-Power Telemetry Terminal | MT-GL001
An IP68 battery-powered 4G telemetry terminal with 3-5 year battery life, magnetic wake-up, GPS positioning and 316 stainless steel housing. Connects water quality sensors and Doppler flow meters to the cloud.
Description
Product Overview
The MT-GL001 ultra-low-power telemetry terminal is the communication and power heart of a remote monitoring site. It collects data from connected instruments, manages power carefully, and uploads readings over 4G to a cloud platform — all while running for years on a single battery pack.
Housed in 316 stainless steel and rated IP68, the terminal is built for unattended outdoor installations. It is compatible with a wide range of water quality sensors and Doppler flow meters, allowing several monitoring devices to be connected and their data synchronised from one site.
Key Features
- 4G transmission: Supports multiple 4G frequency bands to suit different regional networks, with fast upload rates and strong stability. Data transmission latency is low when signal conditions are good.
- Tilt sensor (optional): Measurement range ±15°, capturing small inclination changes — useful for detecting displacement or tampering.
- Multi-device compatibility: Works with a wide range of water quality sensors and Doppler flow meters, supporting simultaneous connection of multiple monitoring terminals for synchronised multi-source data collection.
- Flow meter support: Velocity measurement range 0.01–10 m/s with ±1% accuracy, adapting to different flow conditions.
- Aviation connector: High-quality aviation plug with waterproof, dustproof and corrosion-resistant performance; high interface matching and low contact resistance ensure reliable connection.
- Magnetic wake-up: High sensitivity — a dedicated magnetic pen swept across the sensing area triggers wake-up with a short response time, after which the device immediately starts uploading data.
- Long battery life: 3–5 years on the lithium battery option.
- Sleep + wake architecture: Sleeps between transmissions and wakes on schedule or on demand.
- GPS positioning: Built-in positioning for asset tracking and mapping.
- 316 stainless steel housing: Corrosion resistant for harsh outdoor environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the battery last?
With the lithium battery option the terminal runs for 3–5 years, depending on reporting interval and connected devices. The sleep-plus-wake architecture minimises consumption between transmissions.
What is the magnetic wake-up used for?
A maintenance engineer can wake the device on demand by sweeping a dedicated magnetic pen across the sensing area. The terminal responds quickly and immediately begins a data upload, which is useful during commissioning or inspection visits.
Can multiple sensors share one terminal?
Yes. The terminal is compatible with many water quality sensors and Doppler flow meters, and supports multiple monitoring terminals connected simultaneously for synchronised multi-source data collection.
Is it suitable for harsh outdoor sites?
Yes. The housing is 316 stainless steel rated IP68, and the operating range is -20 °C to 60 °C at 0–95% RH non-condensing.
Does it include positioning?
Yes. GPS positioning is built in, which helps track and map distributed monitoring assets.
